SENSORS

A ten-week summer research program on sensors from science to application where undergraduates will gain experience in hands-on sensor research through work with faculty mentors, field trips, research and ethics workshops, and more.

Drexel Research Experience in Advanced Materials

DREAM supports 10 to 15 undergraduates to work with Drexel faculty members in nanomaterials, biomaterials, and the design and processing of advanced materials.

ASM International Materials Camp

This weeklong academic camp features highly interactive, lab-based activities and industry tours to local companies involved in innovative areas of Materials Science and Engineering. Students "graduate" during a special event with faculty, ASM members, and business leaders, where they have the opportunity to network with professionals and to explore college and career options.

Research Experience for Teachers in the area of Nanotechnology

RET-NANO is a 5-week program located at Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania for high school and community college teachers who share an interest in including nanotechnology in their curriculum.

COE Summer Mentorship Program

The College of Engineering Summer Mentorship Program is a dynamic, three-week research experience that provides high school students with a unique opportunity to work in a Drexel laboratory on an individualized research project. In addition to the educational experience that research provides, students will also gain a competitive edge in the college application office and foster relationships with their faculty mentors as well as like-minded high school students.

Summer Engineering Experience @ Drexel

High school students will have the opportunity to meet engineering faculty and students, participate in hands-on laboratories, engage in interactive class demonstrations, design a KNex car, and visit industry sites. Class topics will include math modeling, critical reasoning and technical writing.

Engineering Cities

Engineering Cities provides undergraduate students with cutting-edge summer research opportunities in the emerging field of urban engineering. Students will conduct research and work closely with faculty mentors on some of the most pressing engineering problems facing the rapidly growing urban world.

Summer Music Technology Program (SMT)

The College of Engineering Summer Music Technology (SMT) Program is an innovative, one-week learning experience that provides ten high school freshmen and sophomores with a unique opportunity to learn about music production technology and digital audio from Drexel faculty and students. This program approaches music and audio technology from the perspective of engineering, mathematics and science.

RET-RETAIN

This 5-week course provides experiential engineering education to K-12 teachers in the Delaware Valley region through laboratory discovery, creating innovative dissemination of gained knowledge to student and colleagues.
