The GAANN fellowships (in combination with support from your faculty advisor) can cover tuition and stipend (dependent upon demonstrated financial need) for one academic year (from October through September).

The GAANN Fellowship is available for exceptional students who meet the eligibility guidelines. Please verify that you are eligible before applying for a GAANN fellowship.

Your application consists of the following:

1. A completed GAANN Application form
2. A current CV/resume
3. Two (2) letters of recommendation, including at least one from someone who can assess your academic capabilities
4. An essay indicating career aspirations, academic motivation, and an interest in materials-related engineering topics and the Ph.D. degree
5. Transcripts for all previous academic work
