What is your name? Saad Addou
What school are you currently attending? Temple University
What year will you be starting in the fall? I will be starting my senior year in the fall.
Why did you choose to attend the SENSORS program? I chose the Sensors program because of the valuable experience that Drexel University offers, especially in the biomedical field. Also this opportunity will definitely give me better insight into my future career.
Who are you working with, and what research are you doing? I am working with Dr. Papazoglou and Dr. Murthy. We are working on finding a cure for the two most common chronic forms of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD). We are also work with a pH sensor based on fluorescence quenching of nanosize quantum dots (QD).
What are your goals/aspirations for the future? My goals for the future are to finish my Biochemistry degree at Temple University and pursue my graduate education in the biomedical field. I dream of finding a medicine that will dramatically prolong the life of human beings.
