Q: What is your name?
A: Adrian Gurga
Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: Drexel University
Q: What year will you be starting in the fall?
A: Pre-junior.
Q: Why did you choose to attend the DREAM program?
A: I chose to attend the DREAM program because it would be an opportunity to meet people my age from other universities with research experience similar to my own.
Q: Who are you working with, and what research are you doing?
A: I am working with Prof. Yury Gogotsi in the characterization of carbide-derived carbons through depth-sensing indentation, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.
Q: What are your goals/aspirations for the future?
A: My goal right now is to complete my PhD from Drexel University and continue to use my skills to the best of my ability for greatest benefit of those around me. At the same time, I am also very interested in music and digital art, so it will be interesting to see where I end up.
