Q: What is your name?
A: Lisa Ranieri
Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: Drexel University
Q: What year will you be starting in the fall?
A: Sophomore
Q: Why did you choose to attend the DREAM program?
A: I want to learn as much as I can this summer. It’s an incredible opportunity to work one-on-one with a professor in materials science, and I believe this experience will help me better decide what I want to do after college.
Q: Who are you working with, and what research are you doing?
A: I’m working with Dr. Caroline Schauer doing research on lactose biosensors and ways to detect the presence of specific components in foods.
Q: What are your goals/aspirations for the future?
A: After this summer, I am going to continue with materials engineering at Drexel University. I plan to make an effort to continue learning for the rest of my life.
