Q: What is your name?
A: David Karlin
Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: I currently attend Union College.
Q: What year will you be starting in the fall?
A: I’m heading into my Junior year.
Q: Why did you choose to attend the DREAM program?
A: I wanted research experience in the field of nanotechnology and the opportunity to work at DNI was perfect for that.
Q: Who are you working with, and what research are you doing?
A: I’m working with John Chmolia. The research I’m doing is building a prototype super-capacitor using porous carbon electrodes.
Q: What are your goals/aspirations for the future?
A: I would like to go to graduate school and then possibly go into commercial research or collegiate teaching.
