Interview
Q: What is your name?
A: Megan Genuske
Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: Youngstown State University, Youngstown, OH
Q: What year will you be starting in the fall?
A: Junior
Q: Why did you choose to attend the DREAM program?
A: It looked extremely interesting, and I wanted to be able to learn as much as I can about biomaterials since I want to someday work with the biomedical side of mechanical engineering.
Q: Who are you working with, and what research are you doing?
A: I am in Dr. Morss’s Lab, as well as Dr. Sun’s Lab. There I am researching tissue engineering; more specifically angiogenesis to create a vascular tree.
Q: What are your goals/aspirations for the future?
A: After I receive my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, I plan to go to graduate school. I’m still undecided on what exactly for. I believe I want to work at a university or continue research after I graduate. There are still a lot of choices I need to make.
