Materials Research Opportunities

Early undergraduate experience in research is becoming increasingly important for all engineering students, providing a foundation for future careers in either academia or industry. Research experience enables students to gain hands-on expertise in basic and advanced research techniques prior to their first co-op, to become involved in leading-edge research, and to develop a portfolio of skills extending beyond the classroom. All of these contribute to a résumé that distinguishes students with such experience from their peers.

Click on any of the following buttons to view a summary of each research group's areas of interest. If you don't know what you're interested in, please read through them all and contact the professor listed for more information, to take a tour of their labs, or to meet some of their other students. Don't forget: any research initiative you undertake will be both challenging and rewardingpick something that truely interests you!
