Alumna Anne Stevens '80 Elected to NAE

Materials alumna Anne Stevens ('80) was among the 76 new members elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2004 "for leadership in the development and application of creative manufacturing processes, resulting in major improvements in efficiency and product quality and cost savings."  Stevens was promoted in October 2003 to group vice president, Canada, Mexico, and South America of Ford Motor Company.  She is responsible for the entire business in each country, including product development, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and sales and marketing.  She is Ford Motor Company's first female group vice president.
