Gwenaelle Proust Wins Zonta International Amelia Earthart Fellowship

Gwenaelle Proust, Ph.D. student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, is a recipient of an Amelia Earhart Fellowship from Zonta International.  The Amelia Earhart Fellowships were established in 1938 in honor of Amelia Earhart, famed pilot and a member of Zonta International.  Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women.  Earhart Fellows are involved in aerospace-related science or aerospace-related engineering research and demonstrate outstanding academic credentials.  Gwenaelle is the second materials students to receive this prestigious award in recent years, materials Ph.D. student Svetlana Dimovski having won the award in 2002.
