María Pía Rossi Receives 2004 NSF Graduate Fellowship; Brandon McWilliams Receives Honorable Mention

María Pía Rossi, Ph.D. student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) is the recipient of a 2004 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.  Additionally, fellow materials Ph.D. student Brandon McWilliams (advisor: Antonios Zavaliangos) has received Honorable Mention.  These highly competitive national fellowships offer recognition and three years of support for advanced study to approximately 900 outstanding graduate students in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences, including the history of science and the philosophy of science, and to research-based Ph.D. degrees in science education.
