Three Materials Students Named 2004 SAMPE Finalists

Ph.D. students Milan Ivosevic and Jason Lyons, and M.S. student Nick Titchenal, all from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, are finalists in the 2004 SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering) University Research Symposium International Competition. SAMPE will sponsor each of them to travel to Long Beach, CA (May 16-20, 2004) to participate in the student symposium, where they will present papers in competition in their respective categories and compete for cash awards of up to $1000 or trips to SAMPE Europe or SAMPE Japan conferences. While in Long Beach, they will also be able to attend the 49th International SAMPE Symposium and Exhibition (ISS&E).  Congratulations to Milan, Jason, and Nick and to their advisors, Rick Knight and Frank Ko!
