Materials Students and Faculty Receive Awards at DU Research Day 2004

Materials students and faculty alike were honored with awards at Drexel University's Research Day 2004 on Tuesday, May 4th.

Dr. Wei-Heng Shih, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, became the 4th materials faculty member in a row to receive the prestigious Drexel University Research Award. The last three recipients include Dr. Michel Barsoum, Dr. Yury Gogotsi, and Dr. Surya Kalidindi.

This year's members of the 10^6 Club are Dr. Michel Barsoum, Dr. Yury Gogotsi, and Dr. Surya Kalidindi. Members of this club brought in new research grants totalling over $1M this year.
