Spanier Receives ARO Young Investigator Award

Dr. Jonathan Spanier, assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, has received the Army Research Office (ARO) Young Investigator Award for the proposal entitled, "Smart Core-Shell Nanowire Architectures for Multifunctional Nanoscale Devices." The amount of the award is $149,930 for three years. The work involves investigations of finite-size scaling of selected properties, as well as the formation of high functional density nanostructures that integrate non-volatile memory, logic and nanoelectromechanical sensing components.
