MSE Alum Named Fellow of ASM International

Dr. Gerard M. Ludtka, alumnus of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (BS, 1972 and MS, 1973) has recently been named a Fellow of ASM International. Dr. Ludtka is currently employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN. He was elected to be a Fellow "for pioneering accomplishments in computational modeling of microstructure evolution, and for quantitative characterization of phase transformations and properties." We are very proud of our alumni and congratulate Dr. Ludtka on this fine accomplishment.
