Alumnus George F. VanderVoort Receives Sorby Award

Alumnus George F. Vander Voort (BS, Metallurgical Engineering, CoE, 1967) received the 2004 Henry Clifton Sorby Award at the 2004 International Metallographic Society Convention. The award "recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of Metallography. Recipients are acknowledged for 25 years or more of dedication to research, teaching or laboratory sales and service." As a winner of the award, VanderVoort presented a lecture at the IMS Annual Meeting in Savannah, GA.
