Drexel University was noted in an
article published in the January 24, 2005 edition of the
Philadelphia Business Journal about BioAdvance, operator
of the Biotechnology Greenhouse of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
BioAdvance has invested more than $5.5 million in 13 local
companies including Gelifex, a start-up founded by Dr. Michele
Marcolongo, associate professor of materials science and
engineering and Dr. Anthony Lowman, associate professor of chemical
engineering, and acquired last year by Synthes, Inc.
