Ph.D. student Hari Duvvuru is one of six students selected by the ASM International Materials Education Foundation Board of Trustees and the LeaderShape Selection Committee to receive an Arthur E. Focke LeaderShape Award. Hari will be able to attend ASM International's LeaderShape Institute this summer, which helps student leaders develop valuable skills to help them both professionally and personally. According to ASM International's website, "this six-day program is conducted each summer at the University of Illinois Conference Center at Allerton Park, near Champaign, Illinois. The LeaderShape Institute, the flagship program of LeaderShape, Inc. is designed to help young people learn to 'lead with integrity.' Each session is comprised of approximately 60 students, ages 17 to 25, sponsored by various organizations from diverse ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds." Hari is currently Vice President of MAGNET, the Materials Graduate Student Network.
Congratulations to Hari on this unique award!
