Drexel Students Sweep ASM Poster Contest

Graduate students from Drexel's Department of Materials Science and Engineering took first, second, and third place in the ASM International Liberty Bell Chapter's graduate student poster contest on Thursday evening, April 21st at ASM's Sustaining Member's Night. Below is a list of the award winners:

First place: Dejan Stojakovic (advisor: Surya Kalidindi) for his poster "Improvement of Magnetic Properties of Iron Silicon Electrical Steel for Highly Efficient AC Motors"

Second place: Hui Li (advisor: Wei-Heng Shih) for her poster "Aqueous Synthesis, Photoluminesence Properties and Biomedical Applications of Quantum Dots"

Third place: Davide Mattia (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) for his poster "Wetting of Carbon Nanotubes and Carbon Coatings by Polar and Non-Polar Liquids"
