Two MSE Ph.D. Students Receive Sigma Xi Grant-in-Aid of Research

Ph.D. students Siddhartha Pathak (advisor: Surya Kalidindi) and Kishore Tenneti (advisor: Christopher Li) are the recipients of Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research in the amounts of $400 and $900 respectively. These grants are highly competitive and only approximately 20% of applicants receive funding.

The Sigma Xi grants are given to students in all areas of science and engineering research to fund travel expenses to and from a research site, or for purchase of non-standard laboratory equipment necessary to complete a specific research project.
