Lawley Mentioned in The Philadelphia Inquirer

Dr. Alan Lawley, emeritus professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, was noted in an article in the October 2, 2006 issue of the Philadelphia Inquirer for being named an honorary member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers.

Additionaly, it was reported that he received an invitation to co-chair the World Congress on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials in Washington in June 2008. Each year the Metal Powder Industries Federation sponsors an international conference that presents the latest industry technical advances and a trade exhibition featuring leading companies that produce metal powders, processing equipment, supplies, and services.
