Dr. Yury Gogotsi, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Director of the A.J. Drexel Nanotechnology Institute, was quoted in an article published on PhysOrg.com for his research with colleagues from NanoBlox Inc.
The article, entitled, “Nanodiamonds Help Replace Toxic Chromium Coatings,” explains that Dr. Gogotsi and his colleagues at NanoBlox Inc., Boca Raton, FL, conducted research showing that the mechanical characteristics of electroless nickel-boride coatings deposited on steel can be significantly improved upon the addition of small amounts of nanosized diamond particles into deposition baths.
Dr. Vadym Mochalin, a post-doctoral researcher in Dr. Gogotsi’s group, who leads the joint nanodiamond project between Drexel and NanoBlox, was also quoted.
