Barsoum's Pyramid Research Continues to be Syndicated

Published on Wednesday February 14, 2007

Dr. Michel Barsoum, Distinguished Professor of Materials Engineering, and the results of his recent study were featured in the February 2007 issue of Materials Performance.

Dr. Barsoum's research has provided conclusive scientific evidence that the Great Pyramids of Giza were built using an early form of concrete, debunking an age-old myth that they were built using only cut limestone blocks. His internationally publicized research will be the topic of the Engineering New Frontiers Lecture scheduled on Friday, February 23 at 12:30 pm in the Bossone Auditorium of the Bossone Research Enterprise Center at Drexel University. The lecture will be part of the 13th Annual National Engineers Week, sponsored by Arkema, Inc. and Lockheed Martin.
