New NSF Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Awarded in Nanotechnology

A proposal submitted to NSF by Professors Yury Gogotsi (PI, MSE), Mun Choi (MEM), Gary Friedman (ECE), Alan MacDiarmid (UPenn) and Dawn Bonnell (UPenn) has been selected for award. The title of the proposal is "Research Experiences for Teachers in Nanotechnology." This 3 year project has a budget of $450K. This is the 2nd RET Site Project for Drexel University.  Katrin Cowan, Nanotechnology Program Coordinator in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Joanne Ferroni, Development and Outreach Coordinator in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics are to be commended for their extraordinary effort in putting the proposal together.
