Vondran Wins Undergraduate Award At Drexel Research Day

B.S./M.S. student Jennifer Vondran (advisor: Caroline Schauer) was the recipient of an Undergraduate Award for her poster that was displayed at the 2007 Drexel Research, Innovation, Scholarship and Creativity Day. The ninth annual Research Day took place at the John A. Daskalakis Athletic Center from 11 a.m. to 3. p.m. on April 17, 2007. Vondran's poster, titled "Mechanical Property Optimization of Electrospun Chitosan-PEO Nanofibers," won in the category of Biological and Biomedical Research. Research day was packed with posters, live and video presentations and designs, and artistic and creative displays including interpretive dancers. Fifteen cash prizes, including six undergraduate, six graduate, one post-doctoral fellow in basic research, one clinical resident/fellow and one research technician/technologist were presented at an awards ceremony held later that evening.
