Two MSE Students Receive University Awards

MSE Ph.D. student Maria Pia Rossi (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) has received the "doctoral student in the Mathematical Sciences and Engineering deemed to have the most promise in enhancing Drexel's reputation in the future" Award. The award will be given by Dr. Stephen Director, Provost, at the Hooding Ceremony for doctoral students on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 4:30 pm in the Behrakis Grand Hall. President Constantine Papadakis will also recognize Rossi at Commencement on Saturday, June 16, 2007.

In addition, B.S./M.S. student Lee Laim (advisor: Jonathan Spanier) is the winner of the "Outstanding Masters Student in the Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Award." Laim will receive the award at the Hooding Ceremony held Friday and he will be recognized by President Papadakis at Commencement 2007.
