Doug Markgraf, an undergraduate student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, has been featured in a story on NBC10.com.
Last May, Markgraf became the victim of a hit-and-run accident while riding his bike and suffered injuries that put him in a coma for 14 days. The accident happened while he was training for a race with the Drexel cycling team. The article describes Markgraf's remarkable recovery from out of his coma and his return to cycling and life at Drexel.
Markgraf continues to make progress and to promote cycling safely, especially through helmet use. He maintains a blog with updates about himself, cycling and his preferred charities: http://dougtales.wordpress.com/
