Published on Thursday December 13, 2007

Ph.D. student Siddhartha Pathak (advisor: Surya Kalidindi) is the recipient of a Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research in the amount of $1000.  These grants are highly competitive and only approximately 20% of applicants receive funding.  This is the second time Siddhartha has received a Sigma Xi grant.

The Sigma Xi grants are given to students in all areas of science and engineering research to fund travel expenses to and from a research site, or for purchase of non-standard laboratory equipment necessary to complete a specific research project.
