Graduate and Undergraduate Students Honored at ASM Dinner

On Thursday, April 17 students, faculty, and staff from Drexel's Department of Materials Science and Engineering gathered to hear Professor Michel Barsoum speak about his research on the pyramids at the ASM International Liberty Bell Chapter dinner.  In addition, five MSE students were honored with poster and scholarship awards.

At the Graduate Student Poster Competition, three MSE students came away with prizes.  The winners were:

1st Place ($500):  Hakki Yegingil (Advisor:  Wei-Heng Shih) 

2nd Place ($300):  Holly McIlwee (Advisor:  Caroline Schauer)

3rd Place ($200):  Joseph Capobianco (Advisor:  Wei-Heng Shih)

Both Eric Brenner (Advisor:  Caroline Schauer) and Jon Burger (Advisor:  Jonathan Spanier) received $1500 undergraduate scholarships.
