Ph.D. student Jessica Schiffman (advisor: Caroline Schauer) is one of two Drexel students who have been chosen to attend the 58th Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany on Lake Constance from June 29th through July 4th. Jessica is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Lindau Fellow and will have the opportunity to meet over 25 Nobel laureates from the field of physics. Approximately 500 fellows are chosen out of 20,000 applicants nationwide.
This is the first time Drexel University has been invited to send nominations and both selected students will be serving as US delegates. Erica Caden from the Physics Department is the Department of Energy (DOE) fellow. All US sponsored researchers will attend an orientation at DOE Headquarters prior to the trip.
