Alumnus Dan Patten Recognized for Leadership in Nuclear Plant Welding

Alumnus Dan Patten (B.S. 1988, M.S. 1996) has been acknowledged for his excellence in the welding field with two Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Technology Transfer Awards.

Patten serves as weld program manager for FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) and is also the current utility chairman of the Electric Power Research Institute's Welding and Repair Technology Center (W&RTC) in Charlotte, N.C. He was featured in an interview in the October 2008 issue of Nuclear News for his accomplishments in welding.
