Nanomaterials Group Publishes CDC Papers

Dr. Yury Gogotsi, Director of the A.J. Drexel Nanotechnology Institute and Trustee Chair Professor of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), and colleagues have recently published three papers related to Carbide Derived Carbons (CDC).

"Enhanced methane storage of chemically and physically activated carbide-derived carbon" was published in the Journal of Power Sources online March 14, 2009.  Authors are Sun-Hwa Yeon, Post-doctoral Researcher; Sebastian Osswald, Ph.D. '09; Gogotsi; and colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania, NIST, and the Universidad de Alicante in Spain.

"Hybrid Reverse Monte Carlo Simulations of Microporous Carbons" was published in Characterization of Porous Solids VIII, Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Characterization of Porous Solids.  Ranjan Dash, Ph.D. '06, and Gogotsi are authors on the paper, along with colleagues from North Carolina State University, University of Pennsylvania, and Orleans University in France.

"Capacitance of KOH activated carbide-derived carbons" has been published as an Advance Article on the Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics web site.  The paper was authored by Cristelle Portet, former Post-doctoral researcher, Gogotsi, and colleagues from the Universidad de Alicante in Spain.
