Gogotsi Receives Collaborative DOE Funding

Professor Yury Gogotsi, Trustee Chair Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, has been awarded funding from the Basic Energy Sciences Division of the US Department of Energy (DOE) as part of a SISGR proposal for "The Influence of Electrolyte Structure and Electrode Morphology on the Performance of Ionic-Liquid Based Supercapacitors: A Combined Experimental and Simulation Study."

This $1.5M grant will support a collaboration with Professor Grant Smith and his research group at the University of Utah and Professor Wesley Henderson at North Carolina State University.  Drexel's portion of the budget is $494,000 for three years.
