B.S. Student Zakiya Carter Wins Non-Traditional Student Essay Contest

MSE B.S. student Zakiya Carter has received first prize in the Non-Traditional Student Essay Contest held as part of Drexel's Non-Traditional Student Week.

The Center City Hahnemann Campus Office of University Student Life sponsored the essay contest, "Why College? Why Now?," open to all Drexel non-traditional students. The contest asked students to explain what motivated them to return to school.

Zakiya is one of four cash prize winners and will receive $150.  She is the only winner from the College of Engineering.
