The Department of Materials Science and Engineering hosted for the first time the November ASM International Liberty.
Bell Chapter's Young Members' Night meeting on Thursday, November 19th in the Atrium of the Bossone Research Enterprise Center.
Paul K. Whitcraft, alumnus of Drexel's Department of Materials Science and Engineering (B.S. 1973) was the evening's keynote speaker. Mr. Whitcraft spoke about "Influence and Use of Standards in the Specialty Metals Industry." He is Director of Quality, Safety, and Engineering at Rolled Alloys and serves as Chair of the Board of ASTM International.
The meeting was attended by 70-100 people and also featured short research talks from Drexel graduate students Amalie Oroho, William Serencsits, and Stephen Niezgoda.
