Two Posters from Nanomaterials Group Win First Place at MS&T Ceramographic Competition

Two posters from the Nanomaterials Group (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) have received first place in their respective categories at the Ceramographic Competition held during the Materials Science & Technology 2010 Conference and Exhibition in Houston, Texas.

In the Scanning Electron Microscopy category, Maria Lukatskaya, visiting student from Moscow State University, and co-author Professor Yury Gogotsi won for their image, "Anodic Alumina Architecture."

B.S./M.S. student Travis Longenbach and Ph.D. student Murat Kurtoglu, along with co-author Gogotsi, were awarded first place in the Undergraduate Study category for "MoO3 Nano Ribbons."
