Ph.D. student Naomi Hampson (advisors: Surya Kalidindi and
Haviva Goldman) has been selected to receive a 2011 American Society for Bone and Mineral
Research (ASBMR) Young Investigator Award.
The award is bestowed upon young investigators who submit
top-ranked abstracts to an ASBMR conference. Recipients receive a
$1,000 honorarium and a plaque. Naomi will present her
abstract, "Establishment of Interactions Among Porosity,
Mineralization and Morphology in the Human Tibial Cortex," at the
2011 Forum on Aging and Skeletal Health to be
held March 21-22, 2011 in Bethesda. MD.
