Two MesoMaterials Laboratory Ph.D. Students Receive Funding for Summer Research Internships

 Ph.D. candidates Oren Leaffer and Stephanie Johnson of the MesoMaterials Laboratory have received funding to conduct research this summer.

Oren is a recipient of funding from the 2011 National Science Foundation (NSF) East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) Program.  He will be spending the summer at the University of New South Wales in Australia working on nanowire device fabrication in support of his P.h.D thesis work.

Stephanie has been selected to participate in the Office of Naval Research Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP).  She will be carrying out research on magnetoelectric nanostructure synthesis, device fabrication and characterization at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, RI this summer.
