Brandon's current research interests include:

(1) Numerical simulation of powder material forming processes. Specifically the implementation of coupled thermal-electrical finite element codes to model plasma and electric field assisted sintering for application to high temperature military materials such as pure tungsten (W) and boron carbide (B4C).

(2) Finite element simulations and experiments to investigate the effect of unloading path and ejection on the origins of defect fomation in the die compaction of pharmaceutical materials.
