Tenure-track Assistant Professor Position in Physics and Materials Science and Engineering


 The Departments of Physics and Materials Science & Engineering at Drexel University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of experimental condense matter physics. The appointment is anticipated to be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level starting on September 1, 2015. Drexel University is a research institution ranked in the top 100 among Ph.D. granting universities according to US News and World Report. Drexel is located in a cosmopolitan urban environment.

We are seeking candidates in the broad area of experimental condensed matter physics, materials science and interdisciplinary nanoscience. We are looking for individuals to establish a vigorous externally-funded research program which will complement the existing research in the Physics Department and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The ideal candidate is expected to have demonstrated a strong record of research accomplishments, a potential for establishing a significant externally funded research program, and a strong interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching.  

A Ph.D. in physics or equivalent and postdoctoral experience is required. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. We are interested in candidates in the area of experimental condensed matter physics.
